About Us
Gold Wave Events was created in 2013 by social butterfly and self-proclaimed “Life Enthusiast” - Jazmyn Strickland. Since “life is a series of events” (our motto), those events might as well be fun-as-heck, unforgettable, and just-what-you-need.
Our mission is to infuse some fun into life through unique family-friendly experiences. From 5Ks to Culinary Fests, Grand Openings to Team Building Retreats, The Gold Wave Events team is here to to help you make the most of life's "little events".
But why “Gold Wave Events”?
Gold: Gold is the undebatable symbol of awesome. Our team is awesome and so are our events, it's fitting.
Wave: A nod to the Central Coast- where it all began.
Events: Since “Gold” & “Wave” don’t quite sum up what we do, we had to make it obvious.
Team Gold
Jazmyn Strickland, Owner & Lead Event Director, started her career as a wedding planner in 2007. While volunteering for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life in 2010, she "discovered" another side of the event industry and fell in love again.
Since then Jazmyn has collaberated on a wide-range of events including Sunset Magazine's SAVOR the Central Coast, the Nike Women's Marathon, and the SLO Marathon + Half. Jazmyn began producing events in 2013, launching the SLO Bacon Fest and the Fire Hydrant 5K.
Away from work, Jazmyn enjoys running, hiking, and spending time with her Husband, Brett, and their fur-child "Robert Downey Jr."
